We are pleased to share that our tower at The Carriageworks, Castleforbes was awarded 'Best Elemental' at the 43rd Irish Concrete Society Awards, held last week at the Johnstown Estate.
The project was recognised for its material precision and the successful use of red-pigmented unitised precast panels. In their citation, the judges noted:
"Most striking is the bold use of terracotta coloured cladding which achieves a high level of consistency in terms of geometry and colour and transforms the facade into an impactful architectural statement, seamlessly blending industrial durability with a warm masonry inspired ambience."
Beyond aesthetics, The Carriageworks achieved significant reductions in embodied carbon through the use of supplementary cementitious materials—a key priority for the design team in delivering this contemporary silhouette.
Congratulations to our partners at Techrete UK & Ireland and the entire project team on this recognition.
