O’Mahony Pike have been working with Cork City Council to design temporary housing at Estuary Way, Mahon, utilising 3D volumetric modular off-site construction. 38 no. modules, each configured as an individual 2-bedroom house, are placed in pairs, around a central shared courtyard space. The modules are designed for convenient transport by road and it is intended that they can be moved repeatedly if required. The scheme layout has been carefully considered to allow for the infrastructure constructed as part of this development to support the future development of the site.
