We're incredibly proud to have lodged HolyCross LRD, a culmination of two years work! Building on HJL's original SHD masterplan, our urban design team collaborated closely with DCC to develop a masterplan focused on:
Unlocking the Clonliffe Demesne: Creating new opportunities for this significant area.
Protecting and Enriching Heritage: Safeguarding and enhancing the site's built and natural heritage.
Making Respectful Public Spaces: Designing areas that enrich the Chapel, Seminary, and Red House.
Framing Vistas with Purposeful Edges: Strategically placing elements to highlight key views.
Facilitating Community Gathering: Designing spaces for connection at important convergence points.
Following the masterplan, we collaborated with Henry J Lyons on the architectural approach. The design responds to the site's rich context, balancing its role as a city edge with its historical "conservation heart." The result is a diverse yet coherent architectural expression.
A huge well done to Hines and the entire design team for their exceptional work on this project!
