Character area design studies for mixed use centres were created within this development, building on a previous masterplan which recognised the strategic growth opportunity in this location of the wider Belfast area.
The vision for Blaris was to create a high quality, sustainable and integrated expansion area for Lisburn. Our design objectives were to create a new destination point with a unique character and a sense of place, responding to the landscape features of the area, proposing a strong interconnected network of public spaces, giving a logical and legible sense to the places we create and how they connect. The framework was prepared to be sufficiently flexible to react to market demands over a 20 year period.
