Chamber House is a landmark, stand alone, five storey building situated at the eastern side of the new Tallaght Square in west Dublin and directly adjacent to the County Civic Offices.
The County Library and reading rooms are located on the ground floor with extensive book storage in the basement. The upper levels of Chamber House serve as a Health Care Hub providing the focal point for integrated health and local services for the Tallaght area with a Primary Care and Network Centre incorporating GP, Therapy Care, Dental Services, Social Work Teams, Child Protection & Mental Health Services.
The Primary Care Team are located at the first floor of the building. They form the nucleus of integrated care for the local community, by providing a single point of contact for people who need to access the health system.
The remainder of the building accommodates two Primary and Social Care Networks which provide and manage the pool of specialists services to support the Primary Care Teams in the area. These specialist services include dietetics, dentistry, psychological services, and specialist disability services.
The form of the building was always seen as a solid block of stone from which is chiselled the deeply recessed entrances and foyers and Limestone was specified throughout as it has always been regarded as the cloak that shrouds most civic buildings.
