The strategy for Knockrabo Phase 2 is consistent with the overall site strategy which was established in Phase 1, creating generous public open spaces which preserve the existing mature trees, providing a parkland setting for Cedar Mount House, a protected structure, and maintaining the sylvan quality along Mount Anville Road.

The proposed apartments to the south of Cedar Mount House are arranged in two courtyard blocks, on either side of a street that is centred on the protected structure, maintaining its views towards Dublin bay.  The buildings step in scale from two to eight storeys, providing variety within the courtyards, and a strong urban edge to the Dublin eastern bypass reservation.  A small pavilion building is located to the south of Cedar Mount House, marking the entrance to Knockrabo.

Cedar Mount House will be restored, containing a creche, community facilities and two apartments.
