Marshalls Yard is an urban regeneration project in Dublin’s docklands, located on East Road, adjoining the rail corridor into Dublin Port.
A new street off East Road leads to a contemporary public square at the centre of the project. To the north of the street, three linear blocks with warehouse type roofs and gable fronts enclose communal courtyard spaces. The buildings elegantly step in scale and use corner elements to enclose communal spaces and to relate to the adjoining residential development on Teeling Way. On the southern side of the new street, three blocks extend southwards towards the railway corridor, with a fifteen storey element demarcating the East Road corner.
The project combines residential, community and commercial uses to create a new urban quarter, with a distinctive, contemporary architectural language of pre-cast elements, brickwork & pitched roofs that relates to its industrial context.
