Our first NZEB compliant housing project, Riverwood Square in Porterstown for Castlethorn, is nearing completion. The units were carefully designed, adopting principles of airtight construction, optimised thermal envelope, minimising thermal bridging, balanced ventilation and air to water heat pumps. Although the project predated the NZEB energy requirements, we worked closely with our client, design team and suppliers to ensure compliance under Technical Guidance Document Part L 2019. Through this process we established the adjustments we required to our existing practices in order to meet and exceed the changing regulations.
